Senior season is ramping up, and I am so excited to be sharing a 2023 Columbia, Missouri Senior Session with you today! When I posted sign ups for senior sessions in Columbia, Hannah was one of the first to jump on my list. I had taken a little time off from photographing seniors due to a house move, but getting behind the camera again was so special! I love getting to meet seniors and learn about what is so special to them. It’s even more special when we can create some epic portraits with them. 

Columbia, Missouri Senior Session

Hannah scheduled her senior session in July during a 100+ degree heatwave, so when her August session date rolled around, I was actually thankful for the 94 degree temps. Don’t get me wrong – it was HOT, but Hannah was a trouper and absolutely rocked her session. One thing I love about Hannah’s session is the simplicity and significance of her portrait locations. The Wildlife Pond was a location her family frequented while she was growing up, and everyone can love a simple wildflower field.

One of my favorite shots of the session was of Hannah near the wildlife pond. The reflection of the sky hitting the water, and the greenery that frames her just makes this an epic portrait. My second favorites … Well, it isn’t a single image but rather a whole collection … are the images of Hannah in the long orange floral dress in the field. The sunlight was hitting her just right and we were able to create some beautiful pictures. It was the perfect ending to a great portrait session.
