This Christmas Maternity Session at The Loft was a little bit outside of the norm for me, but I am so excited to share it with you all! Aspen reached out to me to plan a maternity session to honor her baby boy to be, Stetson. I haven’t done many maternity sessions before, so I was equally nervous as I was excited! I truly wanted to impress her and make this moment oh so special … and I think we nailed it!

A Christmas Themed Maternity Session at The Loft

If you haven’t been to The Loft in West Plains, MO, I HIGHLY recommend them for your indoor studio or event needs. It is such a beautiful space, AND it helps when the weather is absolutely horrible – which it totally was during Aspen’s maternity shoot! It was a downpour – I mean a FLOOD – outside. About an hour before we were to meet, I get a phone call from Aspen. They were stuck in traffic because a semi had rolled over and they were going to be about 45 minutes late to the session. But guess what … it was no big deal! I headed to Walmart and bought some candy canes and Christmas lights and when I arrived at the loft, they were pulling in as well.

Immediately, we set up a cute cozy Christmas corner for Aspen to sit down and show off her cute pajamas and baby bump. She even got some sweet cuddles from Bacardi. After we took many photos in the Christmas jammies, Aspen changed into her formal wear and posed with her hubby.

The rainy weather created some challenges for us in the beginning, but it ultimately elevated our portrait experience. We were able to capture many beautiful images of this little family. Thank you Aspen for reaching out to me to document this milestone for you!
