When Kinley’s mom reached out to me about a senior session in Columbia, I was super excited – not only because I was getting the chance to photograph another senior, but because DOGS were going to be involved! I absolutely love when seniors incorporate special items into their photos; I love it even more when these “items” are special furry friends! That’s what makes senior portraits so special – they are totally customizable to the senior’s interests and likes. I am so excited to share Kinley’s summer morning senior session in Columbia with you!
Kinley’s senior session was one of the first I have ever photographed in the morning, and I have to say – it may be my new favorite time (especially for summer time!) The lighting offers a different kind of glow, and I feel like it really complimented Kinley’s gorgeous blue dress. We started the day off at Nifong Park in Columbia, MO where we made use of the beautiful pond and flowers, and the Maplewood barn and house. Then, we traveled to downtown Columbia so that Kinley could strut-her-stuff (seriously, just wait until you see how gorgeous her downtown images were!)
One of my favorite shots from Kinley’s session was of her in the blue dress with the pond reflecting the blue sky behind her. I just love how clean and simple that image is. And of course, who can not love the images with Pia and Cooper. Lots of high pitched squealing and treat bribing occured to make both dogs look at my camera. It was so worth it though!
Kinley (and Kinley’s Mom, Andrea), thank you so much for allowing me to capture these precious memories for you! Kinley, you are absolutely the sweetest and I wish you the very best senior year and the best of luck with your future endeavors!
Enjoy this little peek into this sweet summer morning senior session!
