A Spring Engagement Session at Big Cedar Lodge

I am so excited to finally share this spring engagement session at Big Cedar Lodge with you today … for many reasons. The first being that Mackenzie and Logan are my FIRST Arkansas couple to photograph since my move to the natural state. The second being that they wanted to do their engagement session at Big Cedar – my childhood vacation spot. And thirdly because of the obvious reason of them being absolute adorable and fully in love!

Big Cedar Lodge Spring Engagement Session

Mackenzie and Logan’s engagement session started at the Garden Chapel located in the heart of Big Cedar Lodge in Ridgedale, MO. The weather was perfect – sun shining, trees in bloom – absolutely STUNNING. One thing I remember from their engagement session is that Logan had forgotten his blazer and shoes and they had to make an extra stop on their way to the session to buy a new pair of shoes. Even after all the prep work, he still managed to forget something. It was a laughable moment for us, and the two took amazing portraits with huge smiles on their faces the rest of the session.

We started the engagement session in their dressy outfit at the chapel. These two posed so naturally for me, it was so hard not to completely fill an SD card before their second outfit. For their second outfit, we went down to the Shoppes and used the Victorian white faced rockwork and wooden beams as a backdrop. The sun was shining oh so perfectly and it was a breath of fresh air being in such a beautiful place.

Mackenzie and Logan, I thank you so much for allowing me to be your photographer and I cannot wait to photograph your wedding in December at the Elms Barn in Flippin! From the way you two interact, I know it is going to be a very easy going and gorgeous day. Below are some of their images from their engagement session. Take a look 😊
