I’m excited to share about this Truman State University Engagement Session! Some love stories start with grand romantic gestures, while others begin in the hallways of a college dorm. Charlotte and William’s journey started in 2016 when they moved into the same residence hall at Truman State University. Over time, their friendship grew into something deeper, leading to a first date they’ll never forget—one where Charlotte tried to pet a raccoon, and Will didn’t stop her. That was the moment she knew he was the one!

As a photographer based in Northeast Arkansas, I LOVE that I was able to travel and return to where William and Charlotte’s love story began—Truman State University. This campus is not only sentimental to the happy couple, but also offers stunning photo backdrops. From historic brick buildings to lush green spaces, we explored their favorite spots. It was so heartwarming capturing their laughter, love, and natural chemistry in the place that shaped their relationship.

Charlotte and William are an adventurous couple who love concerts, trying new restaurants, hiking, and playing tennis together. To reflect their fun-loving spirit, I focused on capturing candid moments—those in-between laughs, sweet glances, and playful interactions that make their love unique.

One of my favorite moments from the session was capturing them on the steps of their old dorm, reminiscing about how their story began. It’s always special when couples choose a location with deep meaning, making the photos even more personal.
