An Intimate Farm Wedding in Pocahontas, Arkansas | The Ringoes

It warms my heart to be sharing about Kalie and Chandler’s sweet, intimate farm wedding in Pocahontas, Arkansas. This wedding is special to me because I had actually taken Kalie and Chandler’s portraits a few years ago. We had so much fun taking the portraits, and they turned out beautifully! When I discovered that Kalie and Chandler were getting married and that they wanted me to document their special day, I easily said YES. I was even more excited when they told me they wanted an October wedding. I knew the portraits would be just oh so beautiful in the peek of fall foliage; however, we weren’t that lucky.

An Intimate Home Wedding in Pocahontas Arkansas

Every couple deserves to celebrate and have their wedding moments documented – no matter the size or circumstances. We did just that on October 28th. We have had a few days full of non-stop rain leading up to Kalie and Chandler’s wedding. When I arrived at Kalie‘s home, there were inches of water standing in their yard next to their front porch with no sign of the rain letting up. Usually, this would be devastating to a couple, but Kalie and Chandler didn’t care. They were surrounded by people who loved them and were determined to be married.

Because of the change of plans to the wedding ceremony location, the couple was able to exchange their vows in front of a beautiful fireplace in Kalie’s childhood home. The family had decorated the inside of their home with simple, western styled bouquets. able to exchange their vows in front of Kalie’s childhood home fireplace. Everything was so sweet and special! And despite the crazy amounts of rain, we still managed to take beautiful portraits outside on their covered patio. You can see the haze of rain behind them!

I was so thankful to photograph this Pocahontas Arkansas Wedding for Kalie on her family farm. She trusted me so much and looked up to me in my photography and it was so nice to give back to her. I know these two are so happy to have tied the knot and they will remember this day for years to come. Thank you, Chandler and Kalie, for once again, trusting me to capture your special moments.
