Logan Sumner | Stephens Lake Park Senior Session | Hannah Carr Photography

a senior boy poses on Mizzou's campus for his senior portrait session with west plains missouri wedding and senior portrait photographer, hannah carr photography

Logan’s senior session is finally on the blog! The weather the last few mornings has felt more like fall, so it got me in the mood to finish a few senior session blog posts from last year. Fall sessions are typically the most popular among seniors, and I can understand why – it’s cooler, the colors are gorgeous, and you’re almost half way done with your senior year. Read below to learn a little bit about Logan’s October senior session at Stephens Lake Park in Columbia, MO.

Stephens Lake Park Senior Session

When Logan reached out to me to take his senior portraits, I was super excited! He had decided to book me based on my work on Instagram (!!) and was very thorough on his wishes for his senior session. He was going to be my third senior boy to photograph, and I just knew that we would create some amazing shots (and I wasn’t wrong).

We started his senior session at the Quad at Mizzou. The white washed buildings and all the greenery of the beautiful landscaping made his October session have a summer-like feel to it. This was unique to be able to capture two different seasons in one shoot. After using as much as Mizzou could offer us, we ventured to Stephens Lake Park where he stepped into his more comfortable attire. He changed into his Columbia jacket and Old Navy sweatshirt and modeled with some props to commemorate some of his favorite passions – basketball and soccer.

This is why I love senior sessions. The possibilities are endless in creating photos that represent an individual to a T. Logan, thank you so much for believing in my talent and reaching out for senior portraits. You were an absolute joy to work with and I cannot wait to see the things you do in your future!

Enjoy this little peek into this Stephens Lake Park Senior Session!
