Back in April, I had the opportunity to photograph Logan and Mackenzie at big cedar lodge for their engagement session and now I get to share about their December wedding at the Elms Barn in Flippin, AR! Weddings are so very nice to photograph because there are so many elements that make it work. From florists to caterers to the small details created by the bride and her families, everything joins together to tell a story. Here is a little bit from the Mitchell’s special day:
December 2nd was such a beautiful day. The air was crisp and cold, and the weather changed from cloudy to sunny as the day progressed. The Elms Barn had been decorated for Christmas, adorned with lights, trees, and wreaths. The Mitchells’ decorations complimented these venue decorations perfectly. I started the day photographing all of Mackenzie’s details (can we talk about her shoes!?), then followed into the rest of events the timeline outlined. Both Mackenzie and Logan are such down to earth people, and you can tell they are special by the company they keep – their bridal party and families alike were just as nice and sweet as the couple.
It was so fun to be a part of such an amazing group of people and to document such an amazing time in their life. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your best day, and I hope these images are worthy of your memories for years to come.
