I’m so excited to share this Columbia Missouri senior session with you today! When the Ryan Family reached out about taking Summer’s senior photos, I just couldn’t wait to work with them! I absolutely love the creativity and uniqueness that comes with photographing seniors. Each senior gets to express their high school interests and their personality through various outfits and locations. It’s just so amazing to see the range of photographs we created by the end of a session.

Columbia Missouri Senior Session

Senior pictures are a right of passage. It marks the end of your childhood and the transition into adulthood. One of my favorite things about senior photography is getting to really capture one’s true self. From Summer’s senior session, I can tell that her personality is so peaceful and joyful, and I believe we captured that so well in her photos!

Now, picture this: It’s a hot day in May, it’s graduation weekend at Mizzou, and there are a ton of seniors getting pictures taken. Columbia, MO was BUSY, but that didn’t stop us from creating some absolutely gorgeous photos of Summer! We started the session at Stephens Lake Park and fell in love with all the spring blooms that were still vibrant with life. Then, we ventured off to Grindstone Nature Area where Summer was the least bit reluctant to get into the water! I love a senior who is willing to go the extra mile for amazing photos! My favorite images from the day were the ones of Summer in her dance uniform, striking a pose mid dance move for the camera. Talk about talent!

Summer, thank you so much for allowing me to capture these precious memories for you! Your personality is so sweet, and it was great getting to know you and your mom during your session. Best wishes for your senior year and beyond!
